Twinsburg Middle School Wrestling

The Coaching Staff Welcomes you to this page.

The middle school program is for competitive athletes. We encourage students who desire discipline, team work, and competition to participate.

The program is designed for athletes of all skill levels. The program is generally comprised of students for the halls of Chamberlin Middle School, and some athletes who have participated in youth wrestling clubs.

There are plenty of opportunities to participate. The programs offers matches that are at various skill levels. Everyone has an opportunity for success.

Wrestling Conditioning starts on November 5th.  Every athlete needs the following information to participate:

Emergency Medical Form/Agreement of Risk

Current Physical (within last calender year)

Pay to Participate fee $65.00

Boardman Kickoff Classic October 14th

Parents, Coaches, and Wrestlers- wrestling season begins Sunday, October 14^th at the Boardman Kickoff Classic! For those looking to get a head-start on the competition for the upcoming season, look no further. Over the past five years this tournament has become THE cornerstone of preseason wrestling in Northeastern Ohio- drawing huge numbers of wrestlers from the Youngstown, Akron-Canton, Cleveland, and Western Pennsylvania areas (due to its location, only 20 minutes from the Penn-Ohio border).  In five years this tournament has NEVER drawn less than 330 wrestlers!

A split start time and five full-sized mats will run all day to ensure that this tournament runs smoothly and quickly. We WILL start and run on time for all sessions! Trophies will be awarded to top three place finishers who are 12 and under.

The Boardman Kickoff Classic is for wrestlers of all ages, from a 5-6 year old division through high school, and even a "Masters" Division for graduates. For the past five years turnout has been excellent in all divisions (more than 30 high school state qualifiers competed in each of the past five tournaments). Expect the same great competition once again this year!

Last but certainly not least, please note that this year’s tournament will also feature a free one hour technique clinic by US Olympian Bobby Douglas!  Coach Douglas is both one of the greatest wrestlers and one of the greatest coaches  in the history of the sport.
